I had given up ever finding a proper, traditional cream cheese again. I knew it in my youth but it hasn't been available in supermarkets for many years. I found this in a wonderful, traditional farm shop in Somerset. It was just as a proper cream cheese should be - soft, creamy and a glorious pale yellow in colour, absolutely divine. I am so happy to have found it. I have a baked cheesecake recipe that has been waiting 20 years to be made - the modern style of cream cheese simply doesn't work. This is absolutely the best cream cheese ever - it's a beautiful pale gold colour and tastes like it was made in heaven.
